In 1985, The Nehme family embraced their passion for bread and started an international baking business with the purchase of an 50,000 s/f storage facility in Yonkers, NY. They converted the storage facility into a Pita bread bakery and quickly became one of the leading producers of pita bread in the Tri-state area.
In 2003, Enter Jean Yves LeBris, a french born and trained artisanal bread baker with more than 50 years of experience baking and selling breads to some of the biggest names in New York City and Westchester County. Together with Roger and Jean-Paul Nehme, they launched a line of artisanal breads that include authentic French Baguettes, Ficelles, Italian Paesano and Ciabatta, as well as hamburger buns that have helped define and support a new, creative menu item in high-end restaurants.
Pane D'Oro supplies more than 400 different artisanal bread varieties to hotels, restaurants, Country Clubs, and Gourmet stores in New York City, as well as Westchester and Fairfield Counties. Our bakery is open 24 hour a day, 7 days a week, 365 days of the year.
